From Garage
to Global
Ascendant Digital was founded in 2016 by industry veterans who spent years in film VFX and game development — frustrated by the fragmented, expensive toolsets available to independent creators who didn't have major studio budgets.
We started with creative tools and quickly realized that great work also needs a path to market. That led us to build our publishing and distribution arms, so creators could come to us at any stage — from building their project to releasing it globally.
Today we operate across three areas: professional tools for film and game production, game publishing for independent studios, and film distribution across 60+ international territories.
